Gas Prices and Location

Yes gas is ridiculous. Will those gas prices hurt your Airbnb? Depends. I would say think about the location of your listing. Is it far from the city? Is it out in the middle of nowhere? Guests don’t want to go too far to stay somewhere now more than ever.

Try to think about it from their perspective. I know some hosts that employ local drivers or even drive themselves to pick up guests at the ferry, airport, bus stop, etc. These little things you can do to help them not spend tons of cash on gas will definitely help. Even just putting some bikes at the property is a good,caring thought. I know we tell guests where the cheapest gas is in town as another indicator that we are mindful. The easier you can make it on them, the better.
