You Need These in Your Airbnb

While people ideally think alarms in a short term rental property work, they practically don’t. Most guests will come to trip the alarm and then all of sudden you’re up at 3 am talking to the police with your poor guests. Here are other ways to help keep your property safe.

  1. WiFi Cameras. These should only be placed on the outside of the home to maximize security. We definitely put one right by the front door. Pay the membership to keep the recordings in case something goes awry. We utilize a Ring camera that can record odd behaviors that we can then show to the guests, and law enforcement, if need be.

  2. WiFi Smart Locks. These are amazing because they change the code with each reservation. That way nobody can access the property without you knowing about it.

  3. Noise Sensors. Since we don’t have cameras in the property, we must rely on sound. There are a couple of companies that have amazing devices in measuring decibel levels to help keep your property safe.

These three things are vital in keeping your property safe. We rely on them and so should you.
